Show total number of new SMS & voicemail

Postby jongpie » Thu Jul 29, 2010 3:41 pm

Any chance that the count for new/unread SMS & voicemail could be changed to reflect the total number, instead of just the number of new items within the 10 that load?

For example, if I have 15 new SMS at the top of my SMS list, the count will only show 10 since VC only loads 10 by default. To see if I have more, I have to tap "fetch more."

Could it be changed to show that there are (in this example) 15 new messages instead? Gmail's mobile site does this, and it seems to be a bit more intuitive.

I do believe this would be possible, but it'll need some research before saying for sure. Obviously, we want to avoid checking all 6,000 of your messages to tally up the unread count. I added a feature request for it, so someone will look into it.
