i want to place calls using only my wifi on my iphone4. i have a google voice account and an account with sipgate and fring. i can call fine to a number- but i cannot receive any calls. and i when i call using wifi only- the person i am calling answers only to hear my voicebox.

am i doing something wrong? and if i am in wifi- no calls get through, not calling my google voice number that is.

i am certain that this thing works- i just think that there is something wrong somewhere. anyone care to help?

Did you set up your sipgate number as a forwarding phone in your Google Voice account?

Are you able to receive push notifications on your device? If so, are they enabled for the fring application?

If those 2 items are correct/working, then try dialing your sipgate number from another phone to see if you get the incoming call push notification and are able to answer it. This takes both VoiceCentral and Google Voice out of the mix in order to narrow down the point of failure. Once that's working, you can try dialing your Google Voice number from a different phone to verify that it forwards to your sipgate number (resulting in another push notification) to verify that it works with GV in the mix. Then try placing a call using VoiceCentral to complete the system.
