Voicemail issues on Jailbroken Phones

Postby stuart » Wed Apr 07, 2010 11:08 am

Some jailbroken users have reported problems playing voicemails. We have an imperfect solution in version 1.1.0, but would like to get to the bottom of this.

We are trying to identify which 3rd party app is causing Safari not to have access to the Audio/Embed object.

If you are having problems playing voicemails on your jailbroken phone, would you mind listing the 3rd party apps you have? Perhaps we can pick up a pattern and resolve this with the author of that app.

One common App seems to be "Safari Downloader." Disabling it allows voicemails to play (yes, we know it's required for dTunes). A workaround for this may be to install a toggle into sbsettings to disable it. Other workarounds may include disabling DL managers for MP3's.

If you are NOT having voicemail problems with your jailbroken phone, there is no need to list the apps. We suspect it is a single app that is causing this.

Thanks!
