Solution Implementation Consultant

Description:

Providing implementation consulting in an extended team environment. This individual will likely provide services to several of our ISV customers. Depending on the project it may consist mostly of configuration and installation or it may require developing custom software to deliver the full solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure third party solutions on client premises.
  • Debugging of operating systems, networking, and application problems.
  • Train customers in the use, administration, and customization of third party solutions.
  • Development of documentation for customer solution.
  • Package client's custom technology and applications for use with third party solutions.
  • Work with customer to deploy large scale, business critical applications using off the shelf and third party solutions.
  • Customize and extend third party solution based on customer's business requirements.
  • Develop custom applications using the third party solution APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and industry standard programming languages such as: Java, Javascript, JSP or similar

Skills:

  • Basic system administration and networking experience on two of these platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris.
  • Programming experience with Java, Javascript, JSP and web application development (DHTML, Struts, Velocity, XML, XSL).
  • Experience with MSSQL Server, MySQL and Oracle databases.
  • Web Services development, Mac Development and Data Mart experience is a plus.
  • Experience with BMC Remedy or other Change Management tools a plus.
  • Ability to work remotely with a team spread across the country.
  • Ability to work with customer teams with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
